Happy B-Day, Tolkien

Today is J. R. R. Tolkien’s Birthday! Tolkien was born on Jan. 3, 1892 in South Africa. Crazy, huh? I used to think he was born in England or something. But still, That is cool.

We know Tolkien as a Soldier in World War 1, a Famous Fantasy author, and an Inkling. We Thank him for serving his Country and for The Lord of the Rings and many other books by him.

So everybody, Here’s to The Professor!

    The Knights of Ren

Caution! Spoilers! Enter if you dare! Or if you’re like me, and you like Spoilers now and then, and please continue.

In The Force Awakens, we see Rey having a vision about a lot of stuff. I’ll make a post about all the visions later, but I want to discuss the Knights of Ren.

The Knights of Ren (Episode 7)

Who are they? Will we see them physically in a Star Wars Movie? Now that The Last Jedi is out in Theaters now, we know a little bit more about these mysterious beings. And no, They don’t appear Physically in the Movie, which is pretty Disappointing, because I wanted Kylo Ren to assist him in finding Rey. And now that I’ve watched TLJ, I would have loved to see The Knights of Ren joining Kylo Ren in Snoke’s Throne Room or fighting.

Anyway, When Luke Skywalker trained new Jedi, one of his pupils was Ben Solo; also known as Kylo Ren and Han and Leia’s son. Luke sensed the Dark Side in Ben, so he decided to kill him before he turned out like Darth Vader. Ironic, when you think about it.

Luke went to Ben’s hut to kill him. He ignited his Lightsaber…

    And killed him!

And this new Trilogy was a dream, okay good, roll credits, on to the new Trilogy.

I’m just kidding by the way.

Luke did ignite his Lightsaber, but he didn’t bring it down on Ben. But then Ben woke up, and believed Luke was continuing his plan to kill him. So he brought his Hut down on Luke. Assuming he killed Luke, he left his Hut, and recruited the rest of Luke’s pupils who decided to follow him, and killed those who remained loyal to the Jedi Order.

The Jedi who followed Ben Solo (now Kylo Ren) are the Knights of Ren.

So that’s the tale of the Knights of Ren.

Thanks for reading, and May the Force be with you.

    Remembering Carrie Fisher

Today, on December 27, 2016, Carrie Fisher died. Millions of fans mourned over the loss of the Princess Leia. Well, I didn’t, but the news hit me like crazy. I began to worry; who’s next? Mark Hamill? Harrison Ford? And I was very sad.

We will continue to be sad every year, as December 27 comes by.

    MTFBWY, Carrie Fisher.

BTW: I watched Rogue One in Theaters the same day Carrie Fisher died. Intergalactic Coincidence.

    Merry Christmas🎅

It’s the most, wonderful time, of the year!

It’s finally Christmas day, after so many months, weeks, days, and hours of waiting. The presents are definitely under the tree, and I will go wake up my parents after 7:00. So I’ll try to wake them up at 7:01😄.

But before I end this post, I just want to remind my readers and followers about what today is truly about.

On the first Christmas night, a Baby was born. Three wise men bowed to this baby. Angels sang about this baby. This wasn’t just any baby. This was Jesus, Son of God.

Christmas is about the Birth of Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading, and have a happy New year.

    Star wars: The last Jedi

Caution!!! Spoilers! You have been Warned.

Things are not going to go the way you think. Literally.

This statement is not just a quote from Luke Skywalker. It’s also talking about the movie itself.

For about a year, fans have been theorizing over this movie. Who is Rey’s parents, who is Snoke really? But now this movie is out, almost none of the theories matter*. That made me disappointed a little bit when I watched this movie, but the quote up above helped me understand the brilliant plan the directors. They would only show particular scenes from the movie, and fans would theorize over the movie, using only the scenes they put in the trailers. Everybody, including myself, we were just spending so much time theorizing, we didn’t think that our theories might not matter.

Now, I respect all Star Wars theories, I’m just saying we never thought that our theories might not even be in the movie.

    Brilliant, directors.

But here’s the review now. Have fun reading, and MTFBWY.

I had the special opportunity to watch the last Jedi on Dec. 14. Did you?

I loved the new character Rose. She was smart, and when she has her mind on something, she is determined to get the job done. This is shown when she can’t get the button to launch all of bombs on the Dreadnought. She doesn’t give up and get get die. She keeps kicking, and kicking until the button eventually falls, and she pushed the button, and helps the Resistance blow up the Dreadnought.

It was also great to see Luke Skywalker in the flesh. When we see him, and he just throws his lightsaber from the Empire strikes back, nobody could have seen that coming. He also makes some funny quotes. Here’s my favorite quote from him in the movie:

    Luke: Nobody’s from nowhere.

    Rey: Jakku.

Luke: Okay that’s pretty much nowhere.

But the most shocking thing we saw in the movie is FORCE GHOST YODA! I was kind of disappointed that we didn’t see force ghost Obi-wan; but then I remembered that he [force ghost Obi-wan] got to be in two movies now! Give Yoda a turn now! I didn’t suspect that he would destroy those sacred Jedi texts. But then again, they weren’t really page turners.

    The last Jedi joke.

And when Luke Skywalker died, I was actually satisfied with Luke’s death. He became one with the force, and there was a sign of peace in his face.

Also, Supreme Leader Snoke. While the CGI used to make Snoke was bad, his presence and the evil floating over him made Snoke a little bit better. This is a bad guy who just enjoys being evil for the sake of being evil. He says a bunch of quotes that prove that he loves being a bad guy. His death was also very shocking!

Oh, and did I mention Leia used the force in this movie?

What I didn’t like was the CGI. I didn’t like the CGI, and a lot of the scenes seemed crammed. Also, I was hoping that Captain Phasma would get more screen time. But I loved this quote when Phasma and Finn are talking to each other:

    Phasma: Scum.

    Finn: Rebel Scum.

This movie would be a B+, but there was a lot of funny stuff in this movie.

I give this movie an: A.

Thanks for Reading, and may the force be with you.
